COLMAP
COLMAP is an open-source SfM tool primarily focused on camera orientation and dense point cloud generation from image datasets. It is widely used in academic and research contexts and often serves as a core computational engine within broader photogrammetry workflows. The tool supports the reconstruction of scene structure by estimating camera parameters and generating point-based representations that can be used as a foundation for later modelling steps. Although it is not described here as a full end-to-end solution, it plays an important role in producing essential intermediate outputs for reconstruction pipelines.
